Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced our interests against your rights. You can ask us for details of that assessment.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time (for example, by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or changing your cookie settings). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

2. Ordering and contract formation
2. Ordering and contract formation
Our Website is an invitation to treat. Placing an order is an offer to buy.
After you order, we will email an order confirmation. A binding contract is formed when we send it (or, for Garments, when we begin production, if earlier).
We may decline an order, for example because of a pricing error, suspected fraud, production limitations or unavailability of fabric. If we decline after you have paid, we will refund you in full.
You are responsible for entering accurate details (address, email, size, measurements and customisation choices). Please check them carefully before you submit your order.
You must be at least 18 to order, or have a parent or guardian's permission.

3. Prices and payment
3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in [CURRENCY] and include VAT where applicable. Delivery costs are shown at checkout before you pay. [Orders delivered outside the UK may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are your responsibility unless we state otherwise at checkout.]
We accept credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Klarna. Payment is taken at the time of order [unless you choose a pay-later or instalment option such as Klarna].
Klarna. Klarna's payment options are provided by Klarna and are subject to its own terms, eligibility and credit checks. Klarna may decline your application. Your agreement with Klarna is separate from your agreement with us, and any late-payment fees, interest or collection action are between you and Klarna. Any refund we issue will be processed through Klarna, and it may take time to update your Klarna balance.
We may correct pricing errors. If an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we may cancel the order and refund you, even if we have sent a confirmation.
We use secure payment providers and do not store your full card details. See our Privacy Policy.
We may carry out fraud checks and delay or cancel orders that fail them.

4. Made to order Garments
4. Made to order Garments
Every Garment is made to order. We begin making your Garment after your order is confirmed, using the size, measurements and options you provide.
Production and delivery times: Production usually takes 4-6 weeks, followed by delivery. Estimated dates are shown at checkout and in your confirmation. These are estimates, not guarantees, unless we say otherwise. As each item is made to order, we are unable to offer refunds in the eventuality that the production process is delayed.
Sizing and measurements: You are responsible for providing accurate measurements by following our size guide. We are not responsible for a Garment that fits differently from what you expected if it was made to the measurements you provided.
Colours and materials: Fabric colours may appear slightly different on screen. Natural fabrics vary, and minor variations are not faults.
Changes and cancellations before production: You can ask us to amend your order by emailing studio@stateofdress.com within 24 hours of ordering, provided we have not started production. Once production has started, the order cannot be changed or cancelled (see Section 6).

If delivery is attempted and fails because of incorrect details or unavailability, we may charge reasonable re-delivery costs.
If we have not delivered within 30 days of the contract (or by any later agreed date), you may cancel and receive a refund.

6. Cancellation and returns policy for made-to-order Garments
6. Cancellation and returns policy for made-to-order Garments
Right to cancel does not apply to tailored Garments.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (and, for EU customers, Directive 2011/83/EU and the national laws implementing it), consumers normally have a 14-day right to cancel distance sales. This right does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. Our Garments are made to your measurements and choices, so the 14-day cooling-off right does not apply once your order is confirmed. You will be reminded of this at checkout and asked to acknowledge it before paying.
Because of this, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, or because a Garment made to your measurements does not fit as you hoped. As a goodwill gesture only, we may offer alterations at our discretion.
Faulty, damaged or incorrect Garments. Your legal rights are not affected. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (and EU consumer law, for EU customers), goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, as described and made with reasonable care and skill. If your Garment arrives faulty, damaged, materially different from your order or not made to the measurements you gave us, please email studio@stateofdress.com within 14 days of delivery, with your order number and clear photos. Depending on the circumstances, we will, at our cost:
Repair or remake the Garment; or
If repair or remake is not possible or not done within a reasonable time, provide a refund or price reduction.
You may also have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery, and further rights for up to six years (five in Scotland). EU customers have at least a two-year legal guarantee.
What is not a fault: normal wear and tear, damage caused after delivery, incorrect washing or care, alterations made by anyone other than us, and the natural characteristics of the fabric.
Remade items: If we remake a Garment, we may ask you to return the original. We will provide instructions and cover reasonable return costs where the item is faulty.
Refunds are made to your original payment method (including through Klarna or PayPal) within 14 days of our agreeing to the refund.
