Black plush velvet with an ivory satin pointed collar and dramatic bell cuffs that break from the velvet at the wrist. The silhouette moves cleanly through the body before releasing into a soft fluted hem.

Then there is the drawstring, which may be my favourite part. A concealed organza tie sits inside the skirt. Leave it alone or pull it, hitching the hem on one side. I have always liked clothes that can be interfered with.
